French newsmagazine Paris Match has announced the birth of HSH Prince Alexander Romanoff in Moscow on October 21. Prince Alexander is the first descendant of the Imperial House to be born on the territory of the Russian Empire since 1917, and the first born in Moscow since 1891.

Grand Duke George of Russia and his wife Princess Victoria unveiled a first photo of their baby, Prince Alexander, on Wednesday evening.
They didn't want to wait to introduce their Royal Baby to the world. This Wednesday evening, October 26, 2022, Princess Victoria Romanovna shared a very beautiful black and white snapshot on her Instagram account showing her with her husband Grand Duke George of Russia, who is holding their baby in his arms. A boy, born five days ago. Staring into each other’s eyes and seemingly about to kiss, the couple can’t hide their happiness at the arrival of their first child
This photo is followed by two press releases, one in English, the other in Russian. It states that the wife of the Tsarevich and their little prince Alexander have returned home. Grand Duke George and his wife thank the medical team at ZKB Hospital in Moscow where she gave birth, as well as all those from all over the world who sent them messages of blessings and best wishes on the arrival of their son into the world.
The birth of Prince Alexander was announced by his grandmother
In a statement released in four languages - Russian, English, Italian and French - the baby's grandmother, Grand Duchess Maria, announced on October 21 the birth that same day at 10:32 a.m., of Prince Alexander. The current Head of the Imperial House of Russia had revealed his first name and added: "Welcoming this new member of Our Family as a sign of the grace of God, I ask all Our countrymen to offer prayers to the Almighty for the health and well-being of the newborn.”
