June 11, 2019. The Head of the Russian Imperial House of Romanov, H.I.H. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna attended a reception at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Spain on the occasion of the celebration of Russia Day (June 12).

On June 4, the opening of a new hospital of the St. Petersburg Children's Hospice in Pavlovsk took place. The hospital, designed for the care of nine children with terminal illnesses, will receive its first patients at the end of the summer.

The hospital building, opened after major renovationsl, will be transferred to the State that it may continue to render palliative care for children in it. In total, about 180 million rubles were spent on the reconstruction of the building.
Alexander Dmitriyevich Beglov, acting governor of St. Petersburg, took part in the opening ceremony. According to Beglov, the creation of the hospice was made possible thanks to the interaction of NGOs, businesses and the state, which combined their efforts, including financial ones, to achieve this goal. “Few expected that this dilapidated building would become such a beautiful, cozy house.”, Said the acting governor.

The first guests of the Pavlovsk hospital were children and their parents - patients of the St. Petersburg Children's Hospice and all who helped to fulfill the dream: employees, volunteers and philanthropists.
Among the partners actively participating in the St. Petersburg Children's Hospice, the event was attended by HIH the Grand Duke Georgii Mikhailovich of the Imperial Foundation, as well as the Director of the Roscongress Foundation, Alexander Stuglev.
A festive concert, play zones, a petting zoo and other entertainment were organized for all guests.
